A precise linear axis is moving the loose jaw of the caliper.

The caliper display value is transfered with an adaptor cable and is compared with the real position of the linear axis.

The difference is shown as graphical curve according to VDI/VDE 2617.

The distances and widths of unassembled scales can be measured with the integrated optic and imaging software.
